•  5 Years + Experience
• Must be able to TIG and stick weld carbon steel
• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.
• Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
• Cut pipe or steel using oxygen acetylene torch or power tools.
• Install or repair equipment, such as steel pipes, valves, and tanks.
• Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.
• Remove rough spots from workpiece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Ignite torch and adjust valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding procedure.
• Determine required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.

• Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers.
• Maintain good working order of company vehicle.
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Obtain customer signature at completion of job.
• Obtain correct customer information including email address.
• Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
• Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is need to correct.
• Identify and report to office the potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services).
• 5 years’ experience
• Perform a variety of tasks on boilers, installing, repairing and maintaining commercial gas and oil heating systems and associated equipment in accordance with mechanical, plumbing, EPA and electrical codes and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot, test, repair, maintain or modify heating systems and equipment including, boilers, pumps, burners, heat exchangers, and auxiliary equipment.
• Must be able to read wiring diagrams, and troubleshoot 480V 3 phase, 120V, 24V circuits, relays and controls.
• Open and clean boilers.
• Monitor and check contracted repairs to make sure all repairs to boilers are completed properly
• Keep records and make reports of work accomplished and materials used.

Job Duties:

• Schedule quoted jobs and service calls
• Dispatch service technicians to emergency and scheduled jobs
• Billing jobs when complete

$15 - $17 per hour depending on experience
